When you create an account online as a new customer, we would like some additional information, so we know who we are renting to. This process is usually fairly quick (1-3 hours), but in some cases (large reservations, for example), processing your first rental request can take up to 24 hours due to extra required information. The earlier we receive the additional information, the faster we can confirm your account and reservation.
Our team will guide you through the required steps. It’s possible you may need to pay a deposit for your reservation when you rent privately. We reserve the right to deny rentals to private persons in case a thorough identification and industry background check is impossible or the client is unable to pay for a deposit covering the equipment value.
In Marrakech, you can pick up your reservation after booking online. Some administrative steps may apply; our online booking application will guide you through the process. You can contact us by phone or email if you have any questions about these administrative steps. Specific products can only be rented if an employee of CineSouk joins your production. This is the case for high-value items and items that require special permitting before they can be used. If these restrictions apply, we will contact you to find a practical solution.
We also offer a delivery service to the location where you are filming; for locations around Marrakech, flat fees apply; for any equipment delivery outside of stipulated barriers, we can provide a custom all-inclusive quote.
At the moment equipment is delivered or picked up, the payment for the service is due. We accept various payment options, which include debit and credit cards (mobile card terminals), cheques, and bank transfers (instantaneous only). For known B2B clients, exceptions can be made and are decided individually. A payment is immediately due the first time you do business with us. An invoice will be directly supplied and exchanged simultaneously with the transaction. Until this point, only a quote or proforma invoice can be provided.
For foreign productions with a VAT exemption (with a local project bank account and proof provided by the Moroccan tax administration), invoices without VAT can be provided for over 5000,00Dhs. Contact us before making your reservation if you want to benefit from this incentive.
Please note this incentive is only useful for projects with a significant local spend in Morocco, since it involves several administrative steps together with your Moroccan production service supplier.
Only small consumable items are for sale, we however do not offer a wide sales service outside this category.
The General Terms and Conditions apply to all our reservations.
A rental insurance option is currently commercially not available in Morocco; if you require insurance, you must obtain your own production or liability insurance. Without such insurance, you are solely responsible for returning the equipment in the same state as how it was supplied to you.
The person who rents the equipment is responsible for checking the working conditions of the equipment rented. Photographs of the current equipment state will be available to both parties during the rental transaction. Employees of the rental company also check the equipment thoroughly before it goes out to minimize the chance of having a negative rental experience.
General wear and tear damage due to normal equipment usage is exempted from any damage waiver; please see our terms and conditions to understand the definition of normal wear and tear.
Certainly! Please contact us by phone or email before your rental period is over so we can see if it’s possible to extend your reservation. If the equipment has not yet been booked for an other customer, you can use your reservation for a longer period of time without issues. If the equipment (or part of it) has been reserved for another customer, you will have to return your reservation at the originally planned timeslot. Of course, we will gladly help you with finding an alternative to finish your shoot. Extension costs must be paid in-store when returning the reservation or through the payment link.
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible. The best thing to do in this case is make separate reservations for the different rental periods.
First, we look at possibilities in the local market through dry hire from partnerships within Morocco. If it’s not available locally, we can source equipment internationally.
We’re used to getting specialty equipment from abroad. We can provide for the ATA carnet and/or permits for equipment from abroad through our European rental partners. However, careful planning for such equipment moves is needed and can take several weeks to arrange for, including planning the transport and air freight costs. This service is available on time, and a film permit is required at the moment of travel.
If you return the reservation outside the agreed rental period without consulting us, we will charge an extra rental day(s). If you experience a delay in returning the equipment in time, contact us as soon as possible to discuss the situation.
This is possible, but we need to know about this in advance. That way we can have somebody of our team on standby. A small subcharge may apply for rental quotes below 3000,00Dhs.
Your tripod plate is still under the camera, or your own memory card is still in the camera… it happens. Please contact our customer service as soon as possible, and we will do our best to set everything aside for you. However, we are not responsible for any loss of your own equipment; we do our best to intercept everything, but small parts can slip through.
Memory cards are formatted when the equipment is checked afterwards. We do this for your privacy and to protect you from copyright infringements. If you have not made a backup, please contact us as soon as possible so we can still store your data safely (or provide you with a download link), we may not have erased the memory cards yet. We unfortunately have no way to recover lost data.
