Litepanels brings the Fresnel into the 21st century with the new Sola™ series with daylight-dependent balance.
With a beam control of 10° to 70°, the revolutionary new Sola 6 offers the controllability and some of the shadow properties inherent in a Fresnel light but uses only a fraction of the power of conventional luminaires.

By using Litepanels’ ultra-efficient LEDs, Litepanels Sola6 pulls 75W with a power equivalent to a 650W Tungsten Fresnel. That is about 1/10 of the amount of power to provide the same lighting as a conventional tungsten fresnel. It generates very little heat. The cool-to-touch function of LED lighting not only reduces the air conditioning requirements, but because they do not provide the heat dissipation and protection required for conventional Fresnels, the Sola6 weighs only 1/3 of the weight of its HMI and Tungsten predecessors (and have no external ballasts). The Sola6 has a universal AC input and can be used worldwide on consumer electronics.

Like all Litepanels, Sola Fresnels can directly dim from 100% to 0 without a noticeable color shift. The Sola6 offers on-fixture manual control of focusing and dimming via the touchscreen and can also be controlled via DMX. The output is completely flicker-free and remains consistent, even if the battery voltage drops.
